Visit websiteDesign, Print & Packaging Skillnet supports businesses of all sizes across Ireland’s design, print and packaging sectors. The national network's mission is to help businesses reduce costs and become more competitive through the provision of highly specialised education and upskilling programmes, with certification up to master’s degree level available.
Collaborating with industry, the network designs, develops and delivers responsive, bespoke and flexible, subsidised courses to address the ongoing needs of businesses. Design, Print & Packaging Skillnet is promoted by the Irish Printing Federation. Membership of the network is open to private enterprises from the design, print and packaging sectors.
“Since the Design Print & Packaging Skillnet was formed, we have benefited from the extensive range of courses. Every member of staff has been trained in their area of expertise and as a team. Additionally, we introduced Lean manufacturing to the business, and I completed a Masters programme. All of the business changes introduced have been due to the support of training programmes run by this Skillnet. The support of Design, Print & Packaging Skillnet has been a key factor in the way our business has evolved in the last ten years and in my own development as a business owner.”
Diarmuid Everard – PrintCom
“Design Print & Packaging Skillnet is a huge support in addressing and meeting the current training needs of our business. Through the Network, member companies have identified training requirements in our industry and then designed courses to meet those specific needs. We look forward to continuing our staff training with Design, Print & Packaging Skillnet.”
Gwen Kenny - Divine Design
PrintCom reinvented its business after demand for paper billing collapsed, using the Design, Print & Packaging Skillnet to retrain staff, modernise services and improve efficiency. Subsidised training enabled them to retain their team, introduce lean processes and boost sales conversion from 50% to 67%. The company built a strong learning culture, with staff embracing new practices and the owner upskilling himself to refocus on strategic growth. The result: lower overheads, zero staff turnover, and a more resilient, future‑ready business.
