What is a Skillnet Business Network?
A Skillnet Business Network is a cluster of private sector businesses that collaborate based on a sector, or multiple sectors within a region, to provide upskilling and reskilling programmes to companies. Each of our 70 Networks, is led by is led by a voluntary Steering Group of industry representatives that focus on setting the Network’s strategic direction. The Network Management team design upskilling programmes provided by experts, based on skills gaps identified within a sector or region. The programmes are funded by the cluster of companies that form the Skillnet Business Network, in addition to funding from Skillnet Ireland. How does a company access training for their team through a Skillnet Business Network?
A company can first determine which Network, may be suitable to their business upskilling needs, depending on the sector or region in which a company operates.
Each Skillnet Business Network has a dedicated website, profiling the range of upskilling programmes it provides. A company can contact the Skillnet Business Network that is of interest to them based on their sector, or because it exists in their area. A company can avail of programmes being delivered by a Skillnet Business Network, or engage with the Network to discuss their skills needs.
