The retail and wholesale sector is the largest private sector employer in the country, employing over 12.5% of the workforce. There are 40,000 retail businesses across the whole country; 90% of which are Irish-owned. Businesses and professionals in this sector are encouraged to access training through one of our sectoral networks or through one of our multi sector networks that operate in their region.
