Our Success Stories

Skillnet Ireland, Ireland’s national workforce development agency, has opened a public consultation as part of the development of its new Statement of Strategy 2026–2028. We are inviting views from stakeholders and members of the public to help shape the organisation’s strategic direction for the years ahead.

The new strategy will guide Skillnet Ireland to support the workforce development needs of enterprises and employees, so that businesses can plan to remain competitive and resilient in an evolving economic landscape. As part of this process, Skillnet Ireland has already engaged extensively with industry partners and key stakeholder groups across enterprise, Government Departments and agencies, the education sector, and representative bodies. This next phase of the dialogue aims to build on those insights through broader perspectives offered by the public, that will inform a clear vision for future growth, transformation, and innovation.

The Strategy Consultation Paper, outlines the context for the new strategy and details three core thematic areas that will be central to Skillnet Ireland’s ambitions for 2026–2028:

  • Strengthening Enterprise Competitiveness

  • Accelerating Digitalisation and AI

  • Climate Change and Sustainability

Skillnet Ireland is seeking feedback on these strategic themes so that the organisation can continue to meet the evolving needs of industry and the workforce, and to capture opportunities arising from technological, economic, and societal change.
