In 2021, Sanofi Ireland partnered with BioPharmaChem Skillnet to address gender imbalance and boost female leadership in STEM. Together, they developed the Women in Leadership Development Programme, aimed at tackling barriers such as confidence, work-life balance concerns, and self-exclusion from leadership roles. The initiative engaged 160 women and empowered them to pursue leadership opportunities. Following its success at Sanofi, the programme is now being delivered to other companies in the biopharma sector, supporting diversity, inclusion, and leadership development.
