Skillnet Ireland is proud to announce that two of its Business Networks have been shortlisted for the prestigious Learning & Development Institute (L&DI) Excellence in Learning Awards 2025. The nominations recognise the outstanding contribution of BioPharmaChem Skillnet and Design, Print Packaging Skillnet in advancing workforce development and delivering transformative learning solutions for Irish businesses.
BioPharmaChem Skillnet has been nominated, in the Inclusion in Action category, for its ground-breaking work in launching its new accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme in Neurodiversity in the Workplace. The programme supports employers in creating inclusive working environments and equips professionals with the knowledge and skills to embrace neurodiversity as a driver of innovation, collaboration, and performance. Developed and delivered in partnership with University College Cork’s Adult Continuing Education unit, the programme is designed to foster sustainable inclusivity and competitive advantage, paving the way for a more inclusive workplace for everyone and transforming lives every day.

Design, Print & Packaging Skillnet has been nominated in the Best Talent Strategy & Development Initiative category for its work in supporting the print, packaging, signage, and label industries through the delivery of accessible, high-quality training. Approaching its 20th anniversary, the Network's commitment to building a resilient workforce has had a measurable impact across the sector, fostering productivity improvements, enhanced leadership capabilities, and greater employee engagement. It caters to professionals at all levels, from those taking short online courses to individuals pursuing a Level 9 Master’s in Professional Practice. By embedding learning into organisational culture, Design, Print & Packaging Skillnet has created an environment where continuous professional development is championed and innovation is encouraged.
