On June 12th, Skillnet Ireland, National College of Ireland and other EU consortium members officially launched the Digital4Business Joint Professional Master’s in Advanced Digital Technologies for Business.
Digital4Business is an EU-funded project awarded under the DIGITAL Europe programme. Through its new master’s programme, Digital4Business aims to accelerate digital transformation across Europe by helping businesses, in particular SMEs, grow through innovation and the practical application of advanced digital skills.
As a key consortium member, Skillnet Ireland engaged with industry and contributed to the design of the curriculum, to respond to SME business needs and digital challenges.
Speaking at the launch of the programme, Mark Jordan, Chief Executive, Skillnet Ireland, said: "Europe needs collaborative solutions to meet the growing demand for advanced digital skills. The Digital4Business master's programme is a strong example of how innovation in learning can help businesses compete and lead in a digital-first economy.”
As digital transformation continues to reshape business, industry, and society, the Digital4Business master’s programme is designed to develop future leaders. Delivered through a unique collaboration of leading European universities, training providers, industry actors, and policy stakeholders, it offers a flexible learning pathway for working professionals seeking to upskill or reskill in emerging digital domains.
With a curriculum covering artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data science, cybersecurity, blockchain, and digital business transformation, the programme is specifically designed to equip participants with the expertise required to lead digital change within their organisations. Crucially, its flexible structure allows participants to combine study with their ongoing professional responsibilities, ensuring accessibility for those already active in the workforce.
Digital4Business has been developed through the collective expertise of 15 consortium partners from seven EU countries, including: Skillnet Ireland, National College of Ireland, Digital Technology Skills Limited, (Ireland), Terawe (Ireland), Schuman Associates (Ireland and Belgium), Matrix Internet (Ireland and Belgium), Adecco Group (Italy), Akkodis, (Italy), Università di Bologna (Italy), LHH (Germany), UDS (Germany), Linköping University (Sweden) and NOVA IMS (Portugal). By combining academic excellence with industry insight, the consortium is delivering advanced, work-ready digital skills for business transformation.
A core aspect of the Skillnet Ireland mission is for businesses to be competitive through access to the right talent and upskilling training which is being increasingly shaped by the digital, AI, and green transitions.
