Skillnet Ireland is proud to be a partner in the Skills4Retail project, an initiative aimed at accelerating the ‘Triple Transition’ of Green, Digital and Resilience in the Retail sector.
Launched in August 2023, Skills4Retail is a €4 million EU-funded project awarded under the Erasmus+ programme. The project supports retailers in adopting innovative digital solutions, transforming business models and ensuring sustainability from the outset by developing their most valuable asset, their people.
The Skills4Retail consortium includes 29 partners from eight EU member states - uniting some of Europe’s most prestigious higher education institutes, training providers and industry partners in the Retail sector.
Skills4Retail is designed to upskill and reskill retail professionals to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry. The programme focuses on the digitalisation of retail operations, the integration of sustainable practices, and the development of resilient business strategies for long-term success.
The project offers flexible learning pathways, combining online modules, practical exercises, and industry collaboration to ensure participants gain both strategic insight and hands-on skills.
Skillnet Ireland plays a leading role in the Skills4Retail project as the work package lead for the development of the training curriculum, content, and certifications. In collaboration with Retail Ireland Skillnet, strong industry engagement will ensure the curriculum reflects real-world retail challenges.
Through this work, Skillnet Ireland is helping to shape the future of retail by developing a skilled, adaptable workforce ready for the challenges and opportunities of a transforming sector.
