“COVID-19 has caused widespread heartache for our industry but in every crisis there is an opportunity. We have engaged with hair and beauty salon business owners nationally to develop this sector-specific programme, that will truly support our members during this pandemic and beyond.”

Programme Detail:
The impact of COVID-19 on what was a vibrant and booming industry has seen widespread business closures of all hairdressers, barbers, and beauty salons. In a targeted sector response, Image Skillnet is launching a free ReBound programme, consisting of specialist webinar training, virtual classrooms and one-to-one support sessions to support owner/managers of hair and beauty salons navigate the practical application of both the Return to Work Safely protocol and the guidance issued by the HSA and HSE.
Delivered in partnership with the Hair and Beauty Industry Confederation of Ireland (HABIC), the programme will address key health and safety challenges including preparation for reopening and beyond, risk assessment, control measures, managing the client journey including elderly and vulnerable clients, workplace wellbeing and configuring a new salon environment.
Through this unique ReBound initiative, Image Skillnet will also address core business issues relating to leadership in a crisis, HR and employee engagement, financial planning and forecasting, setting and monitoring key performance indicators, as well as communication and marketing strategies.
