“The Taste 4 Success Skillnet ReBound initiative will enable members to work with industry experts to help them clearly identify and address urgent business needs, so that we can get back to work safely and as quickly as possible. The pivots we have had to implement could not have been possible without the support provided.”
Gordon Lucey, Founder/Managing Director, 9 White Deer Brewery
Agri-food is Ireland’s largest indigenous sector and is critically important in terms of its regional spread, high element of domestic purchases and large export market. A significant number of artisan producers and SME food processors have been severely impacted by COVID-19; not just in the closure of business, but in the challenges they face in preparing for the reopening for business, the lack of sector-specific supports and access to business experts, and the changes that need to be made to premises and employee training and support.
Through this ReBound initiative, the Taste4Success Skillnet addresses and supports the specific and urgent needs of artisan and SME food processing, agri-food, beverage and seafood businesses, providing an expert resource to help these companies identify and implement correct COVID-19 reopening procedures, and to quickly implement risk assessments and controls to manage COVID-19 in their workplace.
The ReBound initiative has been designed with 3 unique programmes to address critical areas and will be rolled out via webinars, toolkits and online support clinics:

Safe Reopening of Business
New Roles and Competencies for SME Owner/Managers
